Who is Doc?
Doc is Matt Dehn. The nickname was given to me by my little league baseball coach. With the initials MD, naturally the name Doc was born. I was raised in Horicon, WI, where I grew up loving life and having fun! Now, I am a full time teacher in Reedsburg, WI, where I teach Science and Mathematics in grades 6-8 at St. Peter’s Lutheran School. I got into pen making as a hobby. When people started purchasing my pens and asking for custom pens, Doc’s Designer Pens was born.
The Company
What started out as just a hobby grew into a wonderful company. Starting in 2015, I purchased my first lathe. Anything I could turn I did, from bats to pointers used in my classroom. I turned out a pen and pencil set from rosewood and it grew into a passion. Suddenly, people were asking to purchase my creations and in 2016 I officially became a business.
